Beauty of Nuwara Eliya


Today I am going with you to another beautiful district in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The geographical location of Nuwara Eliya covers an area of ​​1741 square kilometers (1706 square kilometers by land and 35 square kilometers by water) and is located at an altitude of 1868 meters above sea level. Nuwara Eliya district has a much lower temperature than other districts and hence this district is also known as Little England or Little London.

 

According to Wikipedia, the lowest temperature in Nuwara Eliya in the last century was -2.6 degrees Celsius.

Although it was very cold in Nuwara Eliya in January, by February it was seen to be gradually decreasing.

The temperature can fluctuate between 10-18 degrees Celsius.

March and April are the hottest months in Nuwara Eliya with temperatures hovering between 12 and 23 degrees Celsius. May, June, and July are the rainiest months and it is normal for two to three days of continuous rain.

Temperatures fluctuate between 13-19 degrees Celsius, which is a time of strong winds. August, September, and October are the best months to visit Nuwara Eliya due to the least rainy and windy seasons. The temperature fluctuates between 13-20 degrees Celsius.

During the months of November and December, the whole of Nuwara Eliya gets very cold, and if people who are unfamiliar with the cold are looking forward to visiting Nuwara Eliya in the months of December and January, it is best to make sure that you are well prepared for the cold.
